DBS Electronics, Inc., located at the base of the Rainbow Bridge, on Highway 87 north of Port Arthur, Texas, is in the center of the marine industries in Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana.
DBS Electronics, Inc. was originally started in 1967 as Drennan Boat Supply, by the late Weldon B. Drennan, Jr. It started out as a complete line of marine hardware and rigging. The company underwent many changes in products and services over the years, but always within the marine industry. As the years progressed, Weldon started focusing totally on the marine electronics industry and the business has grown steadily as a result. About this same time he renamed the company to DBS Electronics to match the new direction of the company. Today, we sell and service only the very finest brands of marine electronics, all backed by qualified and skilled technicians.
There have been few changes in personnel since the first day the doors to Drennan Boat Supply were opened. One of the most significant was when Weldon B. Drennan, Jr. passed away in February 2007. His long time friend and office manager, Mary Burdine, took the opportunity to purchase Drennan Boat Supply/DBS Electronics and continue Weldon’s legacy under the name DBS Electronics, Inc. As Weldon’s “right hand man”, Mary learned the business from the ground up at Weldon’s side. Over the course of 12 years in the business, Mary has done a remarkable job learning about an industry that is very competitive, demanding, and often times confusing. She has excelled in both the day to day running, as well as the long term planning and decision making areas of the company. With a background in business and finances, she has helped a small fledgling company become one of the most successful businesses in the marine electronics industry in southeast Texas today.
It is our goal to provide the finest in quality service. This includes, but is in no way limited to, knowledgeable, friendly but professional attitudes and service from everyone in our company.
